DB Speed Test does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Every test runs on your device and every result is saved only on your device. There is no account, no analytics SDK, and no advertising network in this app.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, messages, browsing history, or advertising identifier. We operate no servers that receive data from this app, so there is no profile of you for us to build, sell, or lose.
The GPS Speedometer and 0-100 Timer need location access to read your speed from the device's satellite receiver. That location is used only to calculate the speed, distance, and altitude shown on screen while you are using those features. It is never written to a server and never leaves your device. Trip statistics are held in memory and are discarded when you close the screen. If you decline the permission, the rest of the app works normally.
Your saved speed tests, device benchmarks, acceleration runs, and app preferences are written to your phone's private app storage. Other apps cannot read them. Uninstalling DB Speed Test deletes all of it, and you can clear it at any time from History or Settings.
To measure your connection, the app must send and receive real traffic. It connects to:
These are ordinary network requests. We do not send any identifier, and we receive nothing back from them ourselves. Each of those providers handles the request under its own privacy policy.
The app reads hardware and network details from Android - model, Android version, CPU cores, memory, storage capacity, Wi-Fi signal strength, and connection type - to display them and to run benchmarks. This information is shown on screen and is not transmitted anywhere.
DB Speed Test is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we collect none from children.
If this policy changes, the revised version will ship with an app update and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the current policy.

By installing or using DB Speed Test you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
DB Speed Test is a measurement tool. It reports the speed of your internet connection, the responsiveness of network services, your GPS speed, and the performance of your device hardware.
Results are estimates. Network measurements depend on server load, routing, signal strength, other devices sharing your connection, and what else your phone is doing at the time. GPS speed depends on satellite visibility and is typically accurate to within a few tenths of a unit under an open sky, and considerably worse in tunnels, indoors, or between tall buildings. Device benchmark scores vary with temperature and background activity. Do not rely on these figures where accuracy is legally or commercially critical.
The GPS Speedometer, HUD mode, and 0-100 Timer are provided for information only. They are not a substitute for your vehicle's own speedometer, which is the legally authoritative instrument. Do not operate the app while driving. Mount your device before you set off. Use the acceleration timer only where doing so is legal and safe, such as a closed course. You are solely responsible for obeying speed limits and traffic laws, and for any consequence of failing to do so.
Speed tests transfer real data over your connection - typically tens to hundreds of megabytes per run, depending on how fast your link is. On a metered or capped mobile plan this counts against your allowance and may incur charges from your carrier. The app shows how much data each test used. You are responsible for those charges.
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this app, including loss of data, mobile data charges, vehicle damage, traffic penalties, or decisions made on the basis of a measurement it reported. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
The app measures against publicly available endpoints operated by third parties, including Cloudflare and public DNS providers. Their availability is outside our control and their own terms apply to those requests.
These terms may be updated with future releases. The current version always ships inside the app.
